Erica is a 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier and Occupational Therapist. She is a 2010 graduate of Texas A&M Kingsville, where she competed on the cross country and track teams. After a 7-year break from running to earn a master’s degree, get married and have two children, she began to train for her first marathon and was the first overall finisher at the Boring Marathon in Oregon. 9 months later, Erica was able to hit the Olympic Marathon Trials standard to qualify for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials at Grandmas Marathon in June 2019 with a time of 2:44:48.

Before UCAN, I would always be so hungry during all of my runs (not a pretty picture). I typically head out of the door before 5am and have a hard time waking up early enough to really eat anything beforehand. UCAN has been a game changer because I can consume it 15-30 minutes before my run without any negative side effects like bloating, feeling full or any other GI issues. I have been consistently using UCAN to fuel up in training runs and races and couldn’t be happier with the outcomes!
