Catherine Weikart Yeckel, MS, Ph.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Medicine; Yale School of Public Health. She received a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a doctoral degree in Preventive Medicine and Community Health in the areas of human metabolism and nutrition. She has focused her research interests in obesity and diabetes along the spectrum of insulin resistance and ß-cell dysfunction. These interests broadly include cardio-metabolic health challenges as a consequence of obesity from young to old age and from sedentary to physically active, and endurance trained.
